The day care centre offer recovery projects, accompanied reintegration towards independence and offers two partially "protected" housing facilities in the city of Cremona.
The admission process can take place upon request of the users, provided that they are in possession of a suitable certification that assesses the state of dependence and, therefore, that they are in need for a therapeutic-rehabilitative treatment, issued by a specialized service for addictions (Ser.D., SMI , NOA, etc.). There is a waiting list. The Day Care Centre can accommodate up to 12 people dependent on illicit and licit substances, male and female. For the admission the user must provide all documentation and information useful for the correct evaluation (healthcare, psychological, legal situation, etc.)

To carry out its recovery and reintegration activities, “Il Mago di Oz” Cooperative offers both professional educators and psychologists:
• 1 Manager
• 2 Professional Educators
• 1 Psychologist / Psychotherapist.

It also benefits from voluntary work; our volunteers can bring their contribution to selected activities.

A typical day at the day care centre is structured in the following way:
• 08:30 – Arrival at the Centre
• 08:45 – Coffee and short organizational meeting, self-medication
• 09:00 – Start of Ergotherapeutic activities
• 12:30 – End of activities
• 12:45/13:30 – Lunch
• 14:00 – Activity Recovery
• 16:00 – End of activities
• 16:15 – Short meeting regarding daily feedback, self-administration/delivery of medicine
• 16:30 – Departure from the Centre

The fees for the therapeutic program of the Day Centre are borne by the National Health Service and the amount is determined by the Lombardy Region. The users (or their families) are responsible for the costs for self-maintenance outside the operation hours of the Day Centre (transport, evening meals, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays), personal expenses (medicines, clothing, hygiene products, leisure time, cigarettes, etc.); the payment of €5.25 per day (including VAT) for using the apartment (provision of educational support service / housing) and of additional €80 - €100 for food within the apartment. For those who benefit from the supportive housing structure the costs for self-maintenance can be roughly estimated at €320 per month.
